The end of a journey, the beginning of another...

Indeed...that is where I am now.

End of my provisional year...

> Formally means that all the provisional goals have been achieved, my supervisors and department have agreed to approve my full registration as PhD candidate, and soon I will be given a letter which will indicate my registration as 'confirmed' rather than 'provisional'. Complete research proposal, and present at departmental seminar >>> DONE!!!

> Informally translated into : Now I SHOULD (??).....have a clearer idea of what I am researching, know most of the literature I am using, have an idea of how to collect the data and analyse it, and paling penting would be able to answer the 'famous' question....'apa yg ko research-kan???'....hehehe...

....and a beginning of my second year of study

> it is going to be another journey, which would have different focus from the first year, but the level of 'onak dan duri' is not expected to differ much. Provisional year tatau arah tuju....manjang blur bila org tanya..apa ko research?? Second year will be more on data collection...which I don't think would be easy....whatever methods you are choosing, or whatever areas you are doing.

> In addition, I also expect to be 'pening2' ngan data analysis, sebab sudah lama belajar itu statistic2.....and I have a 'BAD MEMORY' ngan statistic2 ni. My masters-mate, if you are reading this, do you remember how 'konon2 expert' I am with statistics, siap bukak kelas tuition lagik ngan Mimi, Ogie and Kak Mar. Ended up, anak murid score lebih dari cikgu tuition, pasal cikgu tuition camne ntah boleh jawab terbalik in most of the final exam questions.....something to do with 'normality' of the data...tension la sangat kan....hehe....
Summary and future hope

First year is not bad...Alhamdulillah. Even ada jugak challlengesnya, the journey is quite smooth. Maybe sebab I got so much help from Din (thanks Bi)...and others. And I know back in Malaysia, they always pray for me. Myto and Nab, thanks sebab jaga Adelia time mummy dia huru-hara siapkan kerja....hehehe. And Zaidah, for proof-reading my material. Hopefully, things will continue to be fine......in the coming journey....Amin!!!
p/s : saya suka buat ucapan mcm artis terima hadiah atas stage....okay!! mind me... Hmmm, pics above taken masa aktiviti feeding itik, as a reward to Adelia for being a very good girl masa mummy busy!

Unforgettable Meals a.k.a Makanan Untuk Membesar

Being tagged by ly-d, seeing some pics in dydd's facebook and chatting with elly this morning bikin gue teringat pada what Dura said as 'Makanan Untuk Membesar'......haha...let me add some more to the list....

a) Lauk burung puyuh.......to some, YEAY!!!...to me, ERKHHH!!! Frust gila when what i expect to be a chicken, turn out to be a puyuh.....and in one particular weekend, memang cabut gi Seremban ngan Nadd, running away from the puyuh meal....to A&W.....hihihi...

b) Lauk daging kurma....mula2 makan jugak, until this one occassion, someone told me that 'they use daging kerbau.....bukan daging lembu tau, pasai so and so and so....'. I think it's Sal who came up with the theory. After that, bila tiba je time lauk ni, I gave the whole lauk to her, and ended up being a vegetarian myself....hahaha....tapi, kalu dah lapor sgt....tibai je....kerbau pun kerbau ler...

c) Satay masa SPM week.....teringat sangat bukan pasal satay....tapi, aksi2 orang yang nak pi mengambik satay. Bila dengar, "SUPPPPPPER pada malam ini ialah....SATAY"....berpusu2 lari menuju ke dining hall....ada agak2 mcm rusuhan gitu....hehehe....I got one pics of us munching the satay.....kat Alamanda....hehehe, and I tell you...mmg muka seronok gila dapat makan satay...

d) Scrambled eggs....again, not because of the meal....tapi as budak2 F1 meng'scramble' kan eggs tu......hehehehe.....pepagi buta ketung-ketang menghancurkan the big chunk into smaller one....

e) KFC and aiskrim Cornetto.....quite a few occassions dapat benda ni, aye?? Tapi tak ingat la what occassion....

Teka Teki Nasi Tomato

i like nasi tomato.....kalu nasi tomato, i can have twice the normal portion...but my mom never know how to make it right.......either the rice is not properly done, or cam kat atas tu.....half part of it.....hangus terbakar. that's the best she can do, after numerous attempts...hangus kat bawah je, atas boleh makan....but still aura2 hangus tetap ada...

BTN Ulu Sepri

This time around...a year ago, I was struggling to settle everything for the sake of coming to Auckland. Including attending a BTN course at Ulu Sepri, Negeri Sembilan. Teringat one of the session, kena answer a few questions, and followed by discussions on the answers.

One of the question tanya....what can't you live without? and the facilitator strictly said, jangan la letak agama, bangsa dan negara...be specific. And I bluntly put down my 5 items. I said BLUNT.....pasai when it comes to the discussion part, my answers were all.....LAIN DR YANG LAIN??? Orang pi jawab la....pemimpin yang berkaliber la....keselamatan negara la....demokrasi la. Gue jawab : internet....(ntah pape lagi, tapi internet ni mmg ingat sgt ler). Bila kena justify, kenapa internet....mula la merapu, kalau takde internet, takde ilmu, bangsa tak membangun, lambat dapat info....bla....bla...bla....

Lagi satu question, pemimpin2 idola something like that. Again, I bluntly answered "YB ditempat saya".....ahaks. Padahal org pi jawab this person this person, reason being....mereka lah yang telah membentuk sistem pendidikan negara, membentuk polisi2 yang membangunkan negara. I answered my YB, because that's the only pemimpin yang I can at least personally see in person, directly see how they work.....tak betui ke???

Either I am gila honest.....or the others already know the skima jawapan for the answers....

Hehehe.....saja mengimbas kenangan silam....it's almost a year being here.....
