Hot Water Beach, Coromandel.


We were supposed to go here October last year, when my parents came here. But we missed the turn, and we were too tired to continue the journey at that time. So, we make an effort to visit this place last weekend. About one and a half hour drive from Auckland.

On the way, we stop at Tairua. Small town...very peaceful.

Ada orang sudah berangan mau pergi fishing trip....
Anyway, we stop here for quick breakfast. Dah breakfast kat rumah, but little girl complained "sakit perut...nak toast". Sakit perut = Lapar....

I'm trying to be creative here......hahaha...While this girl...tak abih2 lagi with her piece of toasted bread......There's a small jetty over here. Hubby is reminiscing Terengganu > "owh teringat gi macing kat Marang". Lagi2 la, mmg ada bau2 Terengganu sket....bau laut.......I miss you, Terengganu!! > hehe....Apa lagi bila this kid dok show-off hasil tangkapan dia......hubby lagi rasa mau lompat masuk bot, join fishing trip > tapi teringat joran dia koman sgt as compared to this kid punya joran..Here we are....Hot Water Beach.

Budak excited tadi...tak sampai 5 mins dah nangis....sejuk wooo. Tak sesuai la swimming suit ini...kena carik yg tebal itu. By the way, this spot la where you can sense the 'hot water'. About 10 mins from Hot Water Beach is Cathedral Cove.....

But Adelia was sleeping by this time....so, we can't really go. You have to walk down the path to see Cathedral Cove. So, that's why I just posed with this information board.....rather than posing in front of Cathedral COve itself. Maybe next time....

How bizarre...

You know....sometimes our brain doesn't work like it shoud....

Some of us called it as the Permanent Head Damage syndrome....but I am sure it happens to everyone...brain freeze....hehe....

Just that today....too much thing happens to people around me. That's why I am going to list all I can think of about this situation :

1) Me, myself....this morning, dah tuang coffee from the plunger into my mug....pastu, ambik sudu...and then ambik lagi sesudu coffee untuk letak dlm my mug. And someone pointed to me that I already poured coffee yg dah dibancuh..so, buat apa letak sesudu lagi coffee. But, I was like....apa minah ni cakap ni?? Kali kedua dia tegur...baru la I realised..that what I want to do is actually letak gula....bukan ambik sesudu coffee lagi...

2) When my parents came to visit us here....there are several times that my father drove the car. And since I am supposed to be the tourist guide over here....I la co-pilot masa my father drive. And bukan sekali....bahkan berpuluh2 kali asyik berkata.... "KANAN..KANAN...KANAN"...sambil tangan itu dok buat aksi ke kiri....and "KIRI...KIRI...KIRI"...while tangan itu ke arah kanan. That's why....I never can hafal "when expense increases, profit decrease...whatever right-left, up-down relationship yg ada dalam rumus2 accounting, or economy". I am very very bad at that....

3) Kadang2 bila kita borak-borak kat kedai...kita letak all our things, mcm handphone and wallet atas meja, eh. What would you say...when suddenly bila kawan u nak blah...pastu dgn selambanya dia ambik your handphone/wallet dan berlalu pergi. Hahaha...that's what I did. When it is time to depart...dengan selambanya, ambik handphone member masuk poket sendiri. Boleh jalan dgn relax....until member tanya : "kenapa ko ambik handphone aku??".....hihi. Padahal mmg handphone tu takde langsung persamaan ngan my handphone. I think I did this dah 3 kali. So, sapa2 coffee2 with me....sila take note of my behaviour, ok....or sila take extra care of your belongings....hihi..

4) Shampoo rambut dgn shower foam...gosok gigi ngan facial cleanser....cuci muka dgn hair conditioner......?????

5) During one of SPSS course...at 12.15, instructor bagi for half an hour lunch break. Then she said "come back quarter to 1.00 : means 12.45". I know it is a half an hour lunch break....but, still think I should go back quarter past 1.00 (1.15). So....best aje dok relax...buang2 masa...pastu 1.15 baru datang....and heran awat sume org awal sgt masuk. Skali kena sound....and bila I calculate smula masa > I took an hour lunch break....but I don't know why my brain keeps telling me > quarter past 1....quarter past 1.....

6) You know in flight itinerary....for return ticket...kan ada waktu for both masa pergi and masa balik. There is one time that I was going from Kuala Terengganu to KL...naik flight. Around 7.15, tgh mandi2...mak ketuk pintu bilik air, and tanya....pukul berapa flight. And I said "+-8.30". And mum pun kecoh la....."bila nak check in..kan ke kena awal sejam...bla...bla...sempat ke tak ni". And since airport, about 30 mins from our house....baru tersedar dan menggelabah la. Mak pun....cepat2 panggil abah to get ready to send me to airport. Pakai baju etc...ambik bag.....DENG!!!!.....Wallet pulak takde....tertinggal kat office la ni. Lagi la menggelabah...office pulak is the opposite way from jalan ke airport. So, abah asked me to go to the office with my car, and my parents pergi airport utk "check-in" on behalf of me. All in all....I think, I made it to the airport somewhere around 10 past +-8.00. Sampai je...tgk abah and mak, muka semacam. Sudah...mesti org tu tak bagi I naik flight ni pasal lambat check in. Tapi rupanya > mak said...."sila check sket flight details tu" . Woppps......+-8.30 is waktu from KL to Kuala Terengganu (return flight). Flight Kuala Terengganu to KL....is +-9 something. Hihihi....dah banyak kali naik flight ni...tapi tatau kenapa for this time > my brain fixed on +-8.30....8.30....8.30......hahahahha. Kesimpulannya...I sampai awal la...since flight 9.00 something....bukan 8.30. (I am not sure of actual time....that's why I put it +-....somewhere around that time la....cuma yg penting : I terbalik masa flight...).

That's all I can think of!!

Windy Welly.....

Kami ke Wellington....from the 21st February until the 25th February 2009. Our first impression : windy bangat!! You can notice that in these pictures : ALMOST ALL MY PICS > Tudung gue sume melepek -senget-benget! Pastu, in some of the pictures > Adelia didn't want to cooperate....keep saying 'I'm cold...nak home'. But all in all, Welly is nice!!!! Places that you can look forward to :

This building is at a junction of Willis St and Lambton Quay (i think). We didn't really go inside it....but based on what is stated there : Shopping Arcade...iyelah kot. Oh cuma...mmg ada kedai2 even kat tepi building ni. But I just think this building is kind of unique....

Pastu, in the mid of Lambton Quay, there's this Cable Car service that can bring you up to the top of Botanical Garden (i think..hehe). Adelia suka sangat...although she complained -"sekejap aje lah".

We are at this spot almost exactly at 11.00 a.m. See my shadow over there....kan in line dgn tempat Adelia berdiri tu. Kat stone yg Adelia pegang tu ada '11'. hahaha...a way to know the time...there are some instruction given there that you have to follow, depends on month etc.

Ada museum ttg cable car.

Great for kids...

And of course, botanical garden for mums....hehehe.....

Khairul brought us to this unique spot. People are queueing here to get WATER. Bergelen2 bawak botol to ambik air. There's a history behind this.....read more here : http://www.huttvalleynz.com/upload/documents/petone_water.pdf

And this is another historical spot in Petone. Petone, according to wiki, is 'the first European settlement in theWellington region'. There are memorials to indicate that this is tempat depa menjejakkan kaki kali pertama disini...hehe..

Very....very....very....windy Mt Victoria. Can't even stand still......mmg terhuyung-hayang. Luckily, byk lemak2 dibadan yg 'membantu'......ehehehe.

Tips : sila jgn sesekali pakai 'skirt' or 'kebaya kain lipat'....it will be a disaster....i.e. free show.

The University of Victoria, Pipitea campus. There are other campuses as well, but kat sini la orang2 TRIBE saya.....hehehe....

This campus is dekat (or within, or adjacent, or adjoint....tatau la mana yg sesuai) with Railway Station. Again...me and building...saya suka jugak building ini...

Lagi2 dalam building Railway ini ada Platform 9 3/4. Harry Potter ke, eh? I'm not much a fan...so, tatau sgt..

Building mcm bee hive.....parliament building. This is a new one....yg old one ada kat tepi/blakang.

Not much picture were taken...sejuksss ...menyebabkan Adelia tak nak bagi kerjasama...asyik nak dukung aje. Tak sempat mum nak bergaya2.

But Adelia did cooperate for this picture of payung besar, at Cuba St. Even at some point of time, insist of "nak gambar sorang aje".....halau mum from the frame and merajuk bila mum tetap nak enter frame. Din : geleng kepala aje...tgk mum and Adelia bergaduh nak ambik gambar....

Lepas berebut ambik gambar, berebut makan satay pulak @ Satay Kajang. Ada few restaurant halal here. Cinta across the street. Kayu Manis on the other side. But we only managed to try Cinta and Satay Kajang, both near Cuba Mall. But I prefer Satay Kajang's satay. Mahal satu dollar, tapi satay dia lebih gemuk and tasty. 3 days in a row makan satay...tapi makan penuh perasaan kerana mahal sehhh. 9 dollar utk 6 cucuk.....tapi saya suka, kerana saya miss satay!. First day, Adelia tak makan sbb dia ada roti canai telur. Second day, bila dia rasa apa itu satay : TANGAN KANAN MAKAN SATU CUUCK, pastu TANGAN KIRI PEGANG THE REST OF THE SATAY DALAM PINGGAN TAK NAK BAGI ORG LAIN AMBIK! so tamak...eh? (macam mak dia tak?? hehe..). Nasib la...third day, she was so tired...that she felt asleep tgh2 makan satay (she occassionally do this)....so, sempat la mum and ayah dia makan the rest of the satay.....nyum...nyum....

Must go place as well.....MUSEUM. Too bad we didn't have too much time to spend kat sini. This place is amazing....should spend at least half a day....maybe next time!

Finally, a few hours before we left, sempat singgah at Weta cave. It's like a mini museum....with figurines and collectibles. Boleh tgk some of the characters, props and displays from movies mcm LOTR. Figure it yourself here : http://www.wetanz.com/
